Dentiste: Morning Love advert

I really like this Dentiste toothpaste Morning Love advert. It promises to remove the problem of morning breathe and allow couples to share love, playfulness and kisses in the morning.

Old Spice New Shaving Gel campaign with Terry Crews

I am extremely pleased to see Terry Crews return for a couple of absurd Old Spice shaving gel ads. The first sees him emerge from a hospital stricken man’s bushy beard to shave his unwanted hair.

The second, which I prefer, features a bunch of new things competing to be the newest including a super muscle-y Terry Crews’ baby son.

Google’s Here’s to the Moms advert

US and South African Mother’s Day are fast approaching (I think) and Google have released this great spot highlighting all the great things mom’s do for us around the world using mostly popular YouTube clips and various Google apps and communication platforms. I really like it.

The New Maccabee Beer TastyTasty advert

Old Spice guy Isaiah Mustafa returns as the US President in this spot for the new Maccabee Beer in Isreal. I like the TastyTasty advert and do think it is pretty funny however I think it probably treads a little too closely to imitating the exact formula that saw such success with Isaiah for Old Spice. The entire ad feels a little too Old Spice-y for me.

PETA Europe Do It Like They Do advert

Fallon UK created this bizarre advert for PETA Europe encouraging people to go vegan to improve their sexual appetite. Not entirely sure animal porn is going to make too many people switch to vegan-ism however this ad seems destined to go viral due to the sheer absurdity of seeing animal group sex and blacked-out horse and kangaroo penises so it’s not all bad news.

This Wacky Races ad for the New Peugeot 208 is pretty cool and features real life versions of all the characters from the famous cartoon in a race with the new car. It strikes up a nice combination of humour and nostalgia.

Budweiser Brazil realised that people generally made friends over drinks and decided to speed up the process by introducing the Buddy Cup that allows people to instantly start a friendship on Facebook by clinking their cups together. Genius.

I am surprised by how much I like this Magners advert. It is not funny or outrageous which is usually my bread and butter but it features a very slick script delivered really well by actor, Francis Magee.

Kerry LowLow are sick of the adland low calorie girl stereotypes and they are calling them out in this spot. It’s quite funny and I can see the campaign getting a lot of attention online.

Dove Real Beauty Sketches

Dove commissioned this spot featuring a bunch of women, a FBI trained forensic artist and an experiment regarding ones own beauty. The main focus is to help women realise they are more beautiful than they think which ties in very nicely with Dove’s usual natural beauty focus. I like it a lot and it’s interesting to see how the two sketches differ so drastically.
