I really like this Wearable Movie campaign that Ogilvy New York came up with for Coca-Cola. As I have come to expect with work done for Coke it has a nice real life back story, involves social interaction and makes you smile. Nice.
Budweiser Brazil realised that people generally made friends over drinks and decided to speed up the process by introducing the Buddy Cup that allows people to instantly start a friendship on Facebook by clinking their cups together. Genius.
Dove commissioned this spot featuring a bunch of women, a FBI trained forensic artist and an experiment regarding ones own beauty. The main focus is to help women realise they are more beautiful than they think which ties in very nicely with Dove’s usual natural beauty focus. I like it a lot and it’s interesting to see how the two sketches differ so drastically.
Google’s April Fools joke this year was the introduction of a Beta version of Google Nose, a function of the search engine that can identify smells as well as omit any smell you search for. Not the best April Fool ever but still nice to see that even a company as big as Google can get involved in a bit of silly fun.
We may have heard the last from Mr. Wolfdog following an incident that has seen him fired from his position as director of marketing for Old Spice. He left this final leaving message.
A lot of fun was had in his time in charge with loads of training videos, Google Hangout interviews, online gaming, assisted homework and wolf-like marketing. To see some of the other videos click here.
Smileage is a pretty cool, but very stalk-y, innovation by Volkswagen and Google. It syncs your smart phone with your car and to share all the fun you have when driving. To find out more visit http://smileage.vw.com/.
Old Spice would like you to meet Mr. WolfDog, their new executive director of marketing. In this clip he goes about demonstrating his marketing genius and encourages you to follow him on Twitter (@DirectorWolfDog) and on his blog (mrwolfdog.com). This is certainly not the funniest Old Spice video uploaded but the brilliance of everything else in the past means I will be following both eagerly waiting to see what comes of this ’wild’ campaign.
Three’s latest advert encourages viewers to embrace the silly stuff, as it matters. It also invites them to visit http://ThePonyMixer.com and create their own moon-walking pony scenario. Give it a go it’s reasonably entertaining.
Mr. Comfortable/ the dude in the speedo in the Southern Comfort Whatever is Comfortable campaign has evolved if you visit http://www.comfortableweatherguy.com/ he will be able to show you what the weather is like anywhere in the world.
